Drone Network for Post-Earthquake Search and Rescue
The joint design of communication, detection, action requirements and coordination structures in multi-drone systems for post-earthquake Search and Rescue (SAR) operations constitutes the innovative aspect of the project. The aim is to develop communication and coordination algorithms that enable self-organising teamwork in UAV swarms, with the goal of providing real-time data transmission to disaster management agencies and enabling behaviour adaptation based on human operator observations using embedded sensors. This innovative approach aims to effectively utilise existing distributed resources for communication and coordination, thereby enhancing interoperability and collaboration.
