DeeP-MaRS: Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Biological Weapon Detection Platform
Bioterrorism is a catastrophic biological attack carried out by the deliberate release of viruses, bacteria, or other microbes that sicken or kill people, animals, or plants. These attacks result in mass casualties, epidemics, and environmental pollution.
Bioterrorists employ biological weapons, alternative weapons designed to impact human lives through microorganism contamination of air or water. Faster, earlier, and more accurate detection of contamination in municipal water and air could help prevent the diseases caused by these attacks.
In this project, we aim to develop a multi-sensor environmental pollution measurement platform based on artificial intelligence-assisted magnetic levitation-Raman spectroscopy and photoacoustic spectroscopy to detect and quantify waterborne and airborne bacterial pollution.
