The HyCOMM – Designing an AI-Enriched Hyflex Learning Community for Higher Education Teachers

The HyCOMM, or “Designing an AI-Enriched Hyflex Learning Community for Higher Education Teachers”, is an Erasmus+ KA220-HED project dedicated to transforming higher education through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into HyFlex learning environments. AI plays a central role in HyCOMM by enriching digital teaching and learning experiences, enabling personalization, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision-making for educators. Through advanced AI technologies, the project not only empowers instructors to adapt to multiple educational modalities but also supports the creation of scalable, flexible, and interactive educational models that foster collaboration and engagement in both physical and virtual classrooms.

HyCOMM brings together a dynamic consortium of five partners from four countries: University of Bergen (Norway), Özyeğin University (Türkiye), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), Education and Future Technologies Association (EFTA), European Development Institute (EDI). Together, these institutions combine expertise in AI, pedagogy, and digital innovation to drive the digital transformation of higher education, making flexible, technology-driven learning accessible to educators and students across Europe.
